Called the City of Trees, the area is known for its stunning homes, unique small businesses, and top-quality schools. BOYLE HEIGHTS - COMING IN 2024
Broker, Noé Piña grew up in Boyle Heights attending St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School and is still home to his father. He taught for several years at PUENTE Learning Center. Our Boyle Heights location will be sensitive to the recent gentrification and anti-gentrification issues that have become a major landmark of this community. Our goal is to assist clients but never with profit as the sole purpose of doing business. We believe in business as the conduit to the betterment of others and communities as a whole. Some history in this historically rich area: The area became named after Andrew Boyle, an Irishman born in Ballinrobe, who purchased 22 acres on the bluffs overlooking the Los Angeles River Boyle established his home on the land in 1858.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES - COMING IN 2024
After World War II, Downtown Los Angeles went from being a desirable area to a deserted area. But the approval of the Adaptive Reuse Ordinance in 1999 started a revival of the downtown area, as it created thousands of new housing units. In the most recent years, Downtown L.A. has undergone an amazing revitalization with world-class restaurants, brewery shopping, and art spaces. Downton L.A. will be hosting The 2028 Olympics. We’re looking forward to having our space in this great location! Go L.A. and go Dodgers!
UPTOWN WHITTIER COMING IN 2024
In 1784 Manuel Nieto, a retired captain who served in the Portola Expedition was granted 300,000 plus acres of land by the King of Spain. The land grant, in what is now California, stretched from the hills north of Whittier to the sea, and from the Santa Ana River to the San Gabriel River. By 1822 Mexico had achieved political independence from Spain, recalled the Spanish-appointed Governor from Alta California, and appointed its own. In 1834 Mexico began to "secularize" the missions and issued land grants to individual rancheros. Juan Crispin Perez received a grant for Rancho Paso de Bartolo in 1835 for land that had initially belonged to the San Gabriel Mission. Perez eventually sold five parcels of the Paso de Bartolo land to Pio de Jesus Pico (1801-1894), a ranchero who had already served as Governor once (1832-33) and was to become the last Mexico-appointed Governor of California (1845-46). Pico built his home east of the San Gabriel River and South of Whittier Boulevard (El Camino Real), now the Pio Pico State Historic Park. (CityofWhittier.org)
